Job Description

Plans, initiates, and coordinates operations department and related projects. Leads and guides the work of operations and technical staff and serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage. Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage structure and timelines of operations and related projects.
  • Develop or update project plan information with objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope and submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel, coordinate selection of project personnel, and direct or coordinate activities of project personnel.
  • Establish and execute a project communication plan.
  • Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources and identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet project needs. Negotiate with project vendors or suppliers to obtain resources or materials.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings related to operational department projects.
  • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers and internal departments.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback.
  • Coordinate customer network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Training of internal departments and external clients.
  • Responsibility for contractual reporting requirements and ad hoc reporting.
  • Documentation/Management of SDLC.
  • Acts as liaison and/or interface to different business units

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university (required)
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years experience in managing/coordinating projects in IT or Health Care Industry.
