Job Description

Responsible for the daily operations of Health Network One in Florida. Through a matrixed structure, coordinates with a team of 30+ FTEs including the operations, network, provider relations, and sales teams. Maintains relationships with key healthcare providers, payers, lobbyists, legislators, and other influencers. Coordinates with key HN1 leaders across the country. Looks holistically at all Florida HN1 business and manages the P&L. Candidates with more sales experience will be prioritized.

Manages office space including facilities, administration, and information technology. Manages the network and provider relations teams. Performs business development and coordinates with the national sales team and also maintains high level relationships with payers (insurance companies).  Creates new leads with both new and existing customers. Meets with key legislative personnel and lobbyists from the healthcare industry.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manages office staff including facilities, administration, and information technology in the daily operations of running the business.
  • Tracks network adequacy for all new and existing business; manages contracting deadlines and coordinates on external messaging to customers.
  • Helps set and meet sales goals through a combination of new business and expansion of existing relationships; coordinates with national sales team.
  • Maintains relationships with all payers in Florida (both current and prospective customers); learns of payer needs and pitches new business to payers.
  • Works with various HN1 leaders to coordinate on management decisions and re/design products.
  • Meets with and maintains relationships with key legislative personnel and lobbyists from the healthcare industry; stays ahead of emerging legislative initiatives and guides them to favorable resolution.
  • Tracks profit and loss on all Florida products; compares P&L to other markets sharing information with other market leads and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Abides by all applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A./S.) from a four-year college; MBA or other advanced degree preferred; a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
