Provides security technical support to the Organizations' computer equipment and users by performing the following duties.
· Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
· Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations
· Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
· Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
· Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
· Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status and new trends,
· Creating, distributing, and performing user training
· Conducts internal and external penetration threat test
· Monitors for insider threat
· Creates and maintains IT P&P
· Identity security weakness per HIPAA,HiTRUST and NIST guidelines
· Creates project plans to close security weaknesses
· Maintains quality service by following organization standards
· Addresses security issues and vulnerabilities
· Manages IS Department Projects
· Logs and tracks all issues using ticket tracking system
· Evaluates and implements system hardening process
· Serves as an escalation point to the Organizations Helpdesk
· Assist in maintaining the departments knowledge base and additional documentation
· High School Diploma
· 2+ years experience Level 2 Helpdesk
· Knowledge of hardware and networking
· Proficient in Windows Client and Server
· Proficient with Firewall Appliance
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Security+ certification (plus, not required)
