Job Description
Under general supervision; performs a variety of complex clerical and accounting functions for Accounts Payable (A/P). Verification of invoice information, maintenance of claims system payments and possible adjustments to customer accounts and resolution of a variety of problems. Follows up questions by customers on invoices.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed.
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts.
- Reconciles Bank Statements.
- Prepares accounts payable checks.
- Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Generates monthly invoices and checks for accuracy of all invoices before they are mailed to customers.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records.
- Posts transactions to accounting records such as ledger, excel worksheets, or computer files. Information can be processed either batch or online.
- Reconciles credit card and charge back transactions sent by the bank on a daily basis.
- Prepare Checks for monthly capitation, claims, and commissions
- Assists with general accounting duties.
- Abides by all applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Ensures compliance with and/or adheres to company HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Ensures integrity of data entered into company systems and/or databases.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, other federal, state, and local standards, and company attendance policies and procedures.
- Ability to come to work and work the regular schedule and shift for the position.

- Perform additional duties and related essential duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; a minimum of three related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
