Under general supervision; performs a variety of complex clerical and accounting functions for Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Billing. Verification of invoice information, maintenance of claims system payments and possible adjustments to customer accounts and resolution of a variety of problems. Follows up questions by customers on invoices. Will handle cash items and accounts receivable posting.
This position is responsible for servicing the needs of patients by receiving phone calls from both members and referrals from providers to facilitate the authorization and coordination of referrals utilizing pre-approved screening criteria in compliance with contracted Client's requirements.
Act as a liaison between HN1, provider and contracted health plans concerning all aspects of network participation and provider relations.
Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple members of management, including executives, using a variety of project management, communications or organizational skills.
Evaluates assigned territories and negotiates contracts with physicians, specialists, ancillary providers and hospitals.
To supervise, monitor and evaluate the needs and objectives of claims department in in the area of production in order to ascertain that company directives and goals are being met. Ensures the claims process from claims creation, adjudication to claims EOP flows successfully.
